This hotel is just amazin. Great views of the river n cathedral from my room, super comfy bed too. The breakfast was yummy with a ton of options and the staff were really friendly. Had a fun dinner at the michelin star restaurant, the food was just fantastic! Loved chillin by the pool, it was the best one we seen in portugal.

Chilled vibes in Amarante 🇵🇹🍷
The views from our corner balcony were just amazing, surrounded by the beauty of Amarante. We enjoyed a lekker breakfast, heaps of options, and great coffee. The staff were chommies, super friendly and helpful all the way through, especially when we needed a few local tips!
The bathroom design was a bit cramped, could definitely use a refresh.

Beautifull hotel, excellent service and comfort. Large, beautifull and cosy room, beautifull bathroom, excellent bed. Cosy saloon and bar.
The dim lightening of the room was certainly a nice and beautifull ambiance, but occasionnally a bright lightening would be usefull.

This hotel offers a Michelin-star dining experience that took my taste buds on a good journey with each innovative dish. I loved waking up to house champagne during breakfast while gazing out at the amazing views of the Tamega River. The beautifully maintained gardens provided the perfect oasis for relaxation, surrounded by the historic charm of the architecture.

Brand-new room and huge, with a minibar, satellite TV and climate control. Marvellous and beautiful location, just a pleasant stroll away from Solar dos Magalhaes Museum. Attentive service and good value.

Unfortunately, the rooms felt very dated and needed maintenance. The bathroom design left much to be desired, with a cramped setup that wasted a lot of space and outdated fixtures. On top of that, the lack of towels at the pool was a hassle, forcing us to trek back to reception for them-something you wouldn't expect at this caliber of a place. While breakfast featured a good selection, it took too long to receive cooked orders, which became frustrating. The accessibility around the hotel can be challenging, with steep paths and stairs that might not be great for everyone. Lastly, parking was a bit tricky with narrow, steep access roads that could catch you off guard.

The hotel is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. It is in a beautiful location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is fantastic. The pool and sunlounger area is really nice with fantastic views - so nice to relax there after walking and sightseeing. Our room was gorgeous with a view of the river and town. I would definitely stay here again.

The Luxury Room was massive and beautifully decorated, with fine views of the Tamega River. I loved the antique furnishings that gave it a unique vibe. The air conditioning only worked at the lowest setting, a bit annoying. The bathroom felt a little cramped and could definitely use a refresh. But the overall aesthetic of the room was pretty nice.
